MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — WHAT:

A Verizon Wireless-sponsored youth soccer clinic featuring former Peru national team player Teofilo Cubillas, who appeared in World Cup tournaments in 1970, 1978 and 1982. Cubillas is better known by his nickname "Nene" and for receiving only one yellow card penalty during his playing career. The soccer clinic is free to participants.

Walk-up registration is available beginning at 9 a.m. for up to 400 boys and girls age 5-17. All participants at the soccer clinic will receive a free sports jersey and shorts, soccer shoe bag and water bottle.

VISUALS:

- Teofilo Cubillas leading demonstrations and a "chalk talk" for clinic participants ages 5—17 on the fundamentals of soccer;
- Kids participating in various "skills stations," including stations for passing, dribbling and shooting;-
- An autograph and photo session with Cubillas.
