Verizon Wireless Opens Communications Store In Dixon, Illinois, Hires Five Local Residents

DIXON, IL — Verizon Wireless announced today it has opened its first Communications Store in the community of Dixon, bringing the latest products and services of the company that operates the nation's most reliable network closer to area consumers. The company has hired five local residents to fill newly created retail positions at the store.
The 2,500-square-foot store, located at 1684 S. Galena Ave., includes separate sales and customer service areas to better serve consumers.
Local residents who have been hired to fill the store's new retail positions are:
- Shellie Luyando of Rock Falls assistant store manager
- Paul Heflin of Sterling retail sales representative
- Rashaad Lane of Sterling retail sales representative
- Lynn Wescott of Rockford retail sales representative
- Dawn Brown of Rock Falls customer service representative
In addition, Verizon Wireless has named Travis Fager as store manager of the new store. A native of Rock Falls, Fager previously served as an assistant store manager at the company's Communications Store in Batavia, Ill.

"Demand for our wireless products and new, sophisticated services continues to grow as more consumers take advantage of our recent network expansion in this area."
The Dixon store is one of more than 100 company-owned Communications Stores and kiosks in Illinois and is open Monday though Friday from 9 a.m.8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m.7 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m.5 p.m. The store's phone number is 815-284-4044.
