SOUTHFIELD, MI — Verizon Wireless has promoted Chris Lewter to regional directordata sales for the company's Michigan/Indiana/Kentucky Region.
In his new position, Lewter manages the region's data sales team, which is responsible for increasing data usage among customers across the region. Lewter and his team work directly with Verizon Wireless salespeople and their customers to clearly explain data products and services, such as wireless email; TXT, Picture and Video Messaging; and V CAST, which offers music and games, as well as news, weather, sports and entertainment video clips. They also work with customers to identify and recommend specific solutions that will enhance customers' productivity, saving them time and/or money.
Previously, Lewter was a national account manager in the company's business sales channel. He joined Verizon Wireless in 1999 as a data solutions manager. For seven consecutive years, Lewter has been recognized for his outstanding results. Also in 2000, he earned an Area of Excellence Award for finishing in the top 3 percent in sales companywide. Before joining Verizon Wireless, Lewter worked for Lucent Technologies in Pittsburgh, Penn.
Lewter resides in Northville, Mich.
