PINEVILLE, NC — In response to growing demand for the company's voice and data services, Verizon Wireless has opened a full-service communications store in Pineville, NC. Verizon Wireless kicks-off the official grand opening on October 28 — November 4, 2006. The new Pineville Verizon Wireless store, located at 9813 South Boulevard, Suite 101, in the Carolina Pavilion, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 1, 3 p.m. with Pineville city and chamber representatives.

To celebrate the grand opening of the new Pineville store, Verizon Wireless is offering customers a chance to win a Jeff Gordon Racing School driving experience in Concord, North Carolina. The winner will drive an authentic, Nextel Cup car around the same super speedways the pros drive. Verizon Wireless customers can register to win the Jeff Gordon Racing School Experience by registering at the new Verizon Wireless store between October 28 — November 4.

On November 1, four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon's official racing school car will be in the store parking lot from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The new Pineville store features the full range of Verizon Wireless products and services and is fully staffed for customer service and technical support, allowing customers to speak with Verizon Wireless' highly trained representatives about all their wireless needs.

The new store also features:

  • A top-of-the-line self-service center with bill payment kiosk
  • An informational video displayed on an LCD screen provides customers with information on the latest handsets and accessories, the Verizon Wireless network, wireless tips, roadside assistance, customer service, account management options and much more.

In honor of Verizon Wireless' HopeLine program— a program long dedicated to putting wireless products to work to end domestic violence— Verizon Wireless will donate $1,000 to United Family Services' Shelter for Battered Women, a local shelter that offers counseling, residential services and support groups for victims of domestic violence. The check presentation will take place in conjunction with the ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 1, 3 p.m.

Store hours for the new Pineville store are Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 12 noon — 6:00 p.m. Store manager Julian Luke will lead the Pineville sales team, and the store phone number is 704.552.8396.
