ST. CLOUD, MN — In its continuing effort to provide the best wireless service in Minnesota, Verizon Wireless has expanded its network coverage for residents of, and travelers in, Morrison County, Minn., including the communities of Bowlus, Cushing, Flensburg, Fort Ripley, Little Falls, Motley, Pierz, Randall, Royalton and Upsala.

The network expansion extends the company's current coverage in the St. Cloud area to the north along U.S. Highway 10 from Rice to Motley. From Little Falls, new coverage extends north on State Route 371 to Fort Ripley; east on State Route 27 to Onamia; and West on state Route 27 to County Road 1.

"Central Minnesota is heavily traveled, not only by area residents, but also by droves of Midwesterners who make their way to vacation destinations in our state," said Nancy B. Clark, president—Great Plains Region, Verizon Wireless. "We spend millions of dollars every year to improve and expand our network service in Minnesota so that our customers can stay connected with their friends, family or workplace."

This new voice and NationalAccess data network enables more Morrisson County customers to use their wireless phones to make calls, send and receive e-mail and TXT, Picture and Video Messages, and download games and ring tones while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

This network expansion is part of Verizon Wireless' continuous effort to increase coverage and augment the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Minnesota and across the country. Verizon Wireless has invested $30 billion in the last six years-$5 billion on average every year since the company was formed-to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services. The company invested $93.7 million in Minnesota alone during 2005.
