Verizon Wireless And Rhino Entertainment Team Up To Deliver Classic Hits With Songs You Know

BASKING RIDGE, NJ and LOS ANGELES — Rhino Entertainment, Warner Music Group's (WMG) division that oversees the corporation's vast archive of audio and video assets, announced today an arrangement with Verizon Wireless by which its customers will be able to access ring tones and Ringback Tones from classic music based on the label's Songs You Know concept of instantly recognizable hits. Plus, Verizon Wireless customers with V CAST Music-capable handsets can access a full-track song catalogue created by Rhino.

Based on music from WMG's legendary catalog, Rhino will select feature playlists for ring tones, Ringback Tones, and full-track over-the-air and online downloads through V CAST Music featuring 20 tones and 10 different full songs each feature. V CAST Music, offered by Verizon Wireless, is the world's most comprehensive mobile music service with a library of more than 1.4 million songs.

SONGS YOU KNOW: VOLUME 1, the first in a series of 10-song full-track download compilations, features an eclectic array of well-known tones from artists such a The Cure, Otis Redding, and Grandmaster Flash, to name a few. Each week, for 12 weeks, a new volume, for a total of 12, retailing for $9.99, will be released and feature dual delivery to both the computer and wireless handset.
