SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Students at two Bay Area high schools have a chance to attend a private album release party in San Francisco with RBD, the most successful Mexican pop group of all time. The band will debut songs from their first English language album, "Rebels", at the December 11th concert and on V CAST Music by Verizon Wireless. Attendees can also record video of portions of the performance on their Verizon Wireless V CAST Music phones and compete to have their videos debut on YouTube and V CAST. Verizon Wireless has supplied a limited number of tickets to South San Francisco High School in South San Francisco and Yerba Buena High School in San Jose so that students will have a chance to attend the private event.

While the performance is an exclusive Verizon Wireless event, there are multiple ways to gain access to the show: Verizon Wireless customers can enter to win tickets by downloading an RBD Ringback Tone and Bay Area radio stations are participating in ticket giveaways.

This will be RBD's first show in the United States where they will perform a full set of twelve songs — six in Spanish and six in English - since the summer and they will not perform a full concert again in the U.S. until Spring 2007.

Mexican pop group RBD consists of six young charismatic vocalists —Anahi, Dulce Maria, Maite, Christopher, Christian and Alfonso. Since releasing its first album in 2004, RBD mania has spread from Mexico to the rest of Latin America and Brazil, to Europe and to the U.S. RBD has already sold two million copies of their Spanish-language albums in the United States alone while selling over six million albums worldwide. The band recently released a new Spanish album, "Celestial" which debuted at number one on the Billboard Latin chart, and fans and the music industry are expecting their first English album, "Rebels", to be a cross-over hit.

"Verizon Wireless is proud to partner with RBD to deliver its customers the hottest mobile content," said Rich Garwood, regional president for Verizon Wireless in Northern California and Nevada. "The Latin market is one of the first segments of the population in the U.S. to truly use the phone beyond making a phone call and use it actively for music and messaging."

As a unique aspect to the show, attendees will be encouraged to use their V CAST Music phones to record video of the band's performance of their three new English songs. Attendees will submit their recorded clips to Verizon Wireless where, in conjunction with the artist and record label, the fan-based content will be edited into three distinct music videos which will run on YouTube and Verizon Wireless' V CAST service. Additionally, multi-media messages will be sent to customers who have opted-in to be updated on the latest Latin content with samples of the night's performance.

While not everyone will be lucky enough to attend the event in person, RBD fans will be able to view the exclusive performance footage via video clips available for Verizon Wireless V CAST customers to stream and view on their V CAST capable phones as well as through multi-media samples of the show's performance.

Fans can also relive the music of their favorite RBD songs directly on their Verizon Wireless phones. Customers with Get It Now enabled phones like the Chocolate by LG can download chart-topping RBD singles such as Ser O Parecer, Celestial, and Besame as their ringtone, truetone or full-length song download allowing customers to carry RBD with them wherever they go.
