Verizon Wireless Welcomes Mark Harris As Southern New England Stores Director

MERIDEN, CT — Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network and leader in customer loyalty, has named Mark Harris director of retail sales and operations for Southern New England. Harris replaces Bill Spargo, now New England director of data sales.

In his new role, Harris is responsible for the sales, customer service, and overall store operations for company-owned locations across Connecticut, Western Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Harris comes to New England from Verizon Wireless' Upstate New York region where he was director of business sales. Joining Verizon Wireless in 1996, he previously served as associate director of business sales in the company's Washington/Baltimore/Virginia region, and as both a Federal Government national account manager and a major account manager.

Harris was named to the 2003 and 2006 Verizon Wireless President's Cabinet, a prestigious national acknowledgement, for his sales performance and leadership in customer loyalty initiatives.
