BASKING RIDGE, NJ, and MCLEAN, VA — Verizon Wireless, the leading wireless company with the most reliable wireless voice and data network, and USA TODAY, the nation's top-selling newspaper, announced today that USA TODAY Mobile is even easier for Verizon Wireless customers to access, thanks to the latest redesign of Verizon Wireless' Mobile Web 2.0SM service. Customers can still access popular content and signature features of USA TODAY through Mobile Web 2.0 — including top stories and breaking news, weather, sports scores, stock quotes, and much more — but the new design and improved navigation of Mobile Web 2.0 makes it easier for customers to get the news and entertainment they want while on-the-go.

USA TODAY Mobile is located in the News category of Mobile Web 2.0 and allows Verizon Wireless customers to access real-time news and information from America's best-selling newspaper and award-winning Web site, including:

  • Top stories and breaking NEWS
  • Stocks quotes, market reports and financial coverage in MONEY
  • Scores, stats and detailed coverage across all major SPORTS
  • Entertainment news, celebrity photo galleries and user polls in LIFE
  • Product reviews and expert columnists in TECH
  • Flight stats, destination news and city guides in TRAVEL
  • Current condition by city name or zip code in WEATHER
  • Mobile Web 2.0 can be self-provisioned, eliminating the need for customers to call customer service or visit a Verizon Wireless Communications Store to sign up for the service. Verizon Wireless customers with Mobile Web 2.0-capable handsets automatically view the new redesigned portal when they navigate to Mobile Web 2.0. Customers simply register for Mobile Web 2.0 on their Mobile Web 2.0-capable handsets by visiting the News and Info category under the Get It Now® menu on their phones.

Mobile Web 2.0 is available for $5.00 monthly access, plus airtime, if purchased as a standalone service from the phone, or as a part of the V CAST VPak, which also includes unlimited basic V CAST Video clips and access to ESPN MVP for $15.00 monthly access. Subscribers to the V CAST VPak do not incur airtime charges when using V CAST Video or Music, Mobile Web 2.0 or Get It Now applications.
