BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Backup AssistantSM makes it easy for Verizon Wireless customers to manage and safeguard contacts. Customers can save a copy of names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses to a secure Web site where they can view, print, add, delete, and edit their contacts. The Backup Assistant application will update with any changes to customers' address books either automatically, on a set schedule or manually, depending on the schedule option customers select when they first create their accounts. If customers lose, damage or upgrade their phones, they can restore their contact lists by downloading Backup Assistant to their new or replacement phones.

Backup Assistant costs $1.99 a month, but the fee is waived for customers who use Verizon Wireless' My Account to manage their wireless accounts online. Backup Assistant can be downloaded from Get It Now® under the "Tools on the Go" option.
