JACKSONVILLE, NC — Wireless users in North Carolina are now experiencing increased coverage in Camp Lejeune thanks to new Verizon Wireless cell sites. Verizon Wireless customers will immediately see enhanced wireless coverage in the following areas:

• North side of Camp Lejeune — Along Wavell Street and Winston Road
• Southeastern side of Camp Lejeune near Sneads Ferry Road and Duncan Street

The recent network enhancement enables more Verizon Wireless customers to use their wireless phones to make calls, send and receive e-mail and text, picture and video messages and download games and Ringtones while enjoying superior wireless coverage.

In the first six months of 2007, the company spent $110 million on improving North Carolina's network.
