Verizon Wireless recently moved the industry forward with the introduction of new Nationwide Unlimited Anytime Minute Plans. The plans give customers all their calls anytime to anyone in the U.S., including landline phones at a flat rate for $99.99 monthly access. Plans that add unlimited e-mail and messaging for PDAs and smartphones are also available. In addition, BroadbandAccess Plans offer customers two choices for Internet browsing, e-mail access and downloading files. The new BroadbandAccess plans offer customers monthly data plan options of 50 Megabytes (MB) or 5 Gigabytes (GB) (5,120 MB).
Local residents are invited to stop in the new store and are encouraged to bring old cell phones and accessories they no longer use (from any wireless provider) for donation to the Verizon Wireless HopeLine® program. Through the Verizon Wireless HopeLine program, used wireless phones, batteries and accessories from any service provider are recycled, or refurbished and sold. Verizon Wireless uses the proceeds to award grants and to donate wireless phones with prepaid airtime to local shelters and non-profit organizations to aid survivors of domestic violence. Last year, Verizon Wireless awarded more than $165,000 in grants and wireless phones with airtime to domestic violence agencies throughout Washington.
