LAS VEGAS, BASKING RIDGE, NJ, and NEW YORK — From CTIA WIRELESS 2008, Verizon Wireless, the builder and operator of the nation's most reliable wireless voice and data network, and Univision Móvil, the most relevant Spanish-language mobile content and video provider, today announced the availability of the Univision Móvil video channel on Verizon Wireless' V CAST Video service.

For the first time, Verizon Wireless V CAST customers can access clips from their favorite Univision shows — including Escándalo TV, an entertainment and celebrity talk show on TeleFutura, Noticiero Univision, an Emmy® award-winning evening newscast, and República Deportiva, a popular sports show — right on their phones. The Univision Móvil V CAST Video channel provides customers with extensive video clips from a variety of categories, such as entertainment, news and sports.

Jennifer Byrne, director of V CAST Video and social media for Verizon, said, "The Univision Móvil V CAST Video channel helps us provide our Spanish-speaking customers with relevant content they want, including clips from popular Univision shows."

"With initiatives like these, our longstanding relationship with Verizon Wireless continues to extend the country's most popular Spanish-language programming to customers on-the-go," said Christopher Brunner, vice president of mobile content and services for Univision Online.

Customers with select V CAST-enabled phones can check out V CAST whenever they want for just $3.00 for 24-hour use or by signing up for the $15.00 V CAST VPak monthly subscription, which also includes access to Verizon Wireless' ESPN MVP, Get It Now® and Mobile Web 2.0(SM) services. Customers get unlimited basic video — including the Univision Móvil V CAST Video channel — but application download fees apply for 3D games and premium video. There are no airtime or megabyte charges to download, stream or watch V CAST content with any V CAST subscription.
