SAN FRANCISCO, BASKING RIDGE, N.J., and NEW YORK — On the eve of CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2008 in San Francisco, Verizon Wireless, builder and operator of the nation’s most reliable wireless voice and data network, and The New York Times Company announced that content from NYTimes.com is now available through Verizon Wireless’ proprietary Mobile Web service.

Verizon Wireless customers using Mobile Web on feature phones now have ready access to all of the content from The New York Times’ mobile site (http://mobile.nytimes.com), including its election coverage, influential opinion, business and sports columns, real estate listings, stock quotes, movie showtimes and popular NYTimes.com blogs. NYTimes.com is the most visited newspaper site in the United States, with an audience of 19.5 million unique visitors, according to Nielsen Online, July 2008.

Access to NYTimes.com content is included at no additional charge with a Mobile Web subscription. Unlimited Mobile Web usage is included with a $15.00 monthly V CAST VPak subscription, which also includes access to V CAST Video, V CAST Music and Get It Now® applications. Alternatively, customers can access Mobile Web for free with a Nationwide Plan but will incur usage charges of $1.99 per megabyte.
