DENVER, CO — Wireless users in more Colorado locations are now experiencing expanded voice and data coverage thanks to the addition of new cell sites from Verizon Wireless.

The new sites improve 3G coverage and call capacity for customers in and around:

  • Brighton — near the intersection of 120th and E-470 and surrounding area
  • Boulder — near the intersection of Highway 119 and 63rd Avenue
  • Loveland — near the intersection of Byrd Drive and East 57th Street and surrounding area, including Interstate 25, Budweiser Event Center, Larimer County Fairgrounds and surrounding residential area
  • New Castle — along Interstate 70 and US Highway 6 and surrounding residential area

With the improved network coverage, customers can use their wireless phones and devices to make more calls; send and receive e-mail, text and multimedia messages; download music, games and ringtones; and view high-quality videos all while on-the-go.

In the third quarter of 2008, the company delivered more than 80 billion text messages and nearly 1.5 billion picture/video messages. Customers also completed 43 million music and video downloads.
