TREVOSE, PA — Verizon Wireless has named Russ Preite director of communications stores for the Philadelphia Tri-State Region which includes central, northeastern and southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. In this position, he oversees staffing, growth and productivity for 133 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and kiosks, and 1,500 employees.

An employee of Verizon Wireless for seven years, Preite has built a solid track record as a leader within the company. Most recently, he served as director of business sales for the company’s Upstate New York Region and, prior to that, was the region’s director of data sales. Throughout his tenure, Preite has made significant contributions to the company. In his role as director of business sales, he led his team to the top ranking in the Northeast Area in year-over-year improvement in customer additions and number one in the country in churn (customer turnover) improvement.

Prior to joining Verizon Wireless, Preite worked as an area retail sales manager for Radio Shack. He attended Rhode Island College and lives in Langhorne, Penn.
