DuPage County, Illinois, Residents To Benefit From Verizon Wireless Network Expansion

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Verizon Wireless has activated new cell sites in Bartlett and Lombard that expand network coverage, enabling more customers in DuPage County to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive email and text, picture and video messages; and download games and ringtones while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

The cell sites expand Verizon Wireless’ voice and data network in DuPage County in the following areas:

• From U.S. Route 20, south to Army Trail Road, east to Bartlett Road and west to Illinois Route 25;
• From Sunset Drive south to Madison Street, west to Main Street and east to Ardmore Avenue.

More than $90 million of this investment was spent in Illinois in the first six months of 2008.
