BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Verizon Wireless said today that V CAST Music with Rhapsody will be the first digital music service to deliver the highly anticipated re-master of Pearl Jam’s “Ten” – the band’s debut album that introduced the world to the band in 1991 and has sold more than 12 million copies to date.

10 Weeks of “Ten” will bring a full-track song from the new, digitally re-mastered album to V CAST Music with Rhapsody each week beginning Jan. 13. “Once” will be the first song from “Ten” that will be available for download and purchase, followed in subsequent weeks by “Even Flow,” “Alive” and the remainder of the album, including two additional tracks during the final week. Fans can check out the “What’s New” and “Features” sections of V CAST Music with Rhapsody on their phones each Tuesday to find out which exclusive Pearl Jam song is available that week (see full list and schedule below).

“Pearl Jam fans have been waiting to commemorate the musical genius of ‘Ten,’ and Verizon Wireless is proud to be the exclusive over-the-air retailer of digital downloads from the re-mastered debut album,” said Ed Ruth, director of digital content at Verizon.

Ringtones, ringback tones and ringback Jukeboxes from “Ten,” including never-before-released tones from “Once” and “Why Go,” will be available exclusively to Verizon Wireless customers who have downloaded the VZW Tones application on their phones and in the online music store at www.mediastore.verizonwireless.com beginning Jan. 9.

Pearl Jam fans can also download the “Jeremy,” “Even Flow,” “Alive” and “Oceans” music videos straight to their V CAST-enabled phones from the Music Videos channel on V CAST Video. A unique Pearl Jam video message will be sent via MMS directly to many Pearl Jam fans to let them know about 10 Weeks of “Ten” and to tell them how to get the music directly on their phones from anywhere in the V CAST coverage area at anytime.
