WARREN, NJ — (l-r) Andy Macdonald, the world’s top-ranked professional skateboarder, offered a free private lesson to twelve-year-old D.J. Barrett, of Hopatcong, at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall last Saturday (June 6) as part of a special “STR8 TLK”event sponsored by Verizon Wireless. The “STR8 TLK” program, which included a mini-ramp demonstration, was developed by the company in 2005 to create a positive connection with today’s students and deliver an uplifting message to help shape their outlook on life. Earlier last week, Macdonald also visited middle schools throughout the area including Valleyview Middle School in Denville, Hopatcong Middle School and Mountain View School in Mendham to share important messages about education, goal setting and living drug-free.####
