CHANDLER, AZ — The Phoenix Suns and Verizon Wireless invite fans to go ‘green’ and help curb domestic violence in the community.

Fans attending the Suns’ home game against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, January 28 can donate their used wireless phones and accessories to the Verizon Wireless HopeLine® phone recycling program. Drop boxes will be located at all entrances to US Airways Center, and at Guest Relations.

“Our partnership with Verizon Wireless and the HopeLine program allows Suns fans multiple ways to make a positive impact in our community,” said Lynn Agnello, Phoenix Suns Senior Vice President of Marketing Partnerships. “Not only does the program accomplish our goal of curbing domestic violence, but our fans are able to do so in an environmentally friendly way.”

This is the seventh season the Phoenix Suns and Verizon Wireless have teamed up for a special collection.

“Suns fans who received a new phone this holiday season – or anyone who wants to do something good for domestic violence victims and the environment – can make a difference,” said Tony Heyman, regional president, Verizon Wireless. “Every phone counts.”
