BACKGROUND:
Once again, forecasters predict possible major floods in Fargo, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn., by this weekend. Verizon Wireless’ network team has already prepared its voice and 3G network to deliver reliable wireless coverage and service during the spring flood season.

Last year, Verizon Wireless rolled in temporary cell sites and provided free phones and service when flood stages were reached in parts of the Red River Valley, helping Air National Guard personnel, Red Cross shelter workers, first responders, and residents stay connected.

This video shows how Verizon Wireless prepares for crises like these and how it strives to deliver wireless service to its customers when they need it most.
