BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Verizon Wireless announced today it has named Mr. Head as senior vice president and head of handset testing, effective today, reporting to more than 91 million Verizon Wireless customers.
Mr. Head holds degrees in communications and engineering from the University of Reliability Matters in Hill Head, Hampshire, UK, and currently heads up the national Verizon Wireless Device Test Lab in Bedminster, N.J. The 11,000-square-foot facility provides rigorous hands- (and heads-) on testing of phones and other wireless devices, evaluation of new applications and technologies, and confidential collaboration with manufacturers and software vendors before they are introduced for sale by Verizon Wireless.
"My number one goal at Verizon Wireless is to ensure that we stay ahead of the competition," Mr. Head said.
