BASKING RIDGE, NJ — For fans who can’t get enough of America’s favorite game, the new version of NFL Mobile from Verizon Wireless arrives tomorrow on America’s most reliable wireless network. NFL Mobile sports a new look and feel and gives users two options to stay up to date on teams, players and happenings around the league.

The new NFL Mobile lets every user see the latest news, headlines, stats and scores from the first drills in training camp all the way to Super Bowl XLV in North Texas in February 2011. NFL Mobile also will feature live audio broadcasts of every regular season game during the 2010 season.

NFL Mobile users who want exciting premium NFL video content on their wireless phones can simply add a V CAST Video subscription to get video on demand with player and team news and to watch live streams of:

  • NFL RedZone, the wildly-popular channel from NFL Network that airs live or near-live look-ins of every key play and touchdown from Sunday afternoon games
  • NFL Network, which airs seven days a week, 24 hours a day on a year-round basis and is the only network fully dedicated to the NFL and the sport of football
  • NBC’s Sunday Night Football
  • NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football

The new version of NFL Mobile is easy to download. Customers with Android phones can download it directly from the Verizon Channel in Android Market™. Customers with BlackBerry® smartphones just text “NFL” to 8915 for a link to the application. Starting tomorrow, when existing NFL Mobile users open the app, they will be prompted to download the new version.

There is no monthly subscription for NFL Mobile, and customers will have access to NFL Network and Video on Demand content at no additional charge through the end of August. Beginning Sept. 1, customers will need a V CAST Video subscription ($10 per month) to access and enjoy the premium video features of NFL Mobile. Usage of NFL Mobile will be charged according to each customer’s data package.

Verizon Wireless customers who downloaded NFL Mobile prior to July 22 will continue to enjoy all of the features of the app at no additional cost through Super Bowl XLV. Usage of the app will continue to be charged according to the customer’s data package.
