Customers receive a “welcome” text message from Verizon Wireless upon arrival at most of the 220 international destinations covered by the company’s global services. The welcome text lists important global support information, dialing instructions, and data rate details.
Customers using Verizon Wireless global-capable phones and smartphones can enjoy wireless voice service in more than 220 countries and data in more than 200 countries, with more than 115 offering 3G speeds. In addition, contract customers heading to 40 countries outside of the United States can use any Verizon Wireless phone to stay connected.
