EDINBORO, PA — Whether e-mailing a study group, sharing experiences with friends via social media, or calling home for cash, students on America’s college campuses can turn to Verizon Wireless’ largest and most reliable wireless 3G network more than ever, thanks to recent enhancements near their campuses.

In and around Edinboro University, Verizon Wireless engineers have been hard at work expanding network capacity to enable students to take advantage of the company’s high-quality wireless service.

These recent network upgrades at these local colleges and at college campuses nationwide are part of Verizon Wireless’ ongoing efforts to expand coverage, increase capacity, and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network. Since 2000, the company has invested more than $1.1 billion into its Pennsylvania network, including $185 million in 2009.
