The Verizon Developer Community Conference, which took place on Sept. 21 and 22, focused on fostering new mobile applications for existing and future wireless networks. Mobile applications developers in attendance were provided with an update of Verizon Wireless’ overall strategy around applications and developer portal; in-depth sessions on APIs and other network enablers; opportunities for developers in vertical markets; and special sessions devoted to open development, connected devices, and the opportunities tied to the forthcoming 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network.
