BOISE, ID — Verizon Wireless and the Boise State Broncos invite fans to go ‘green’ and help curb domestic violence in the community at the same time.

Fans attending the Broncos home football games on Saturday, Oct. 9 and Saturday, Oct. 26 can donate their used wireless phones and accessories to the Verizon Wireless HopeLine® phone recycling program. HopeLine drop boxes will be at the Verizon Wireless tent at the Allen Noble Hall of Fame Plaza during the home games.

About HopeLine
Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine program collects no-longer used wireless phones, batteries and accessories from any wireless service provider at its Communications Stores nationwide and puts the nation’s most reliable wireless network to work in local communities by turning these unused wireless phones into support for victims of domestic violence. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

“Verizon Wireless is pleased to partner for the sixth year in a row with the Boise State Broncos to have HopeLine a part of the game-day activities,” said Melanie Braidich, regional president for Verizon Wireless. “We applaud Broncos fans for helping make a difference by raising awareness of domestic violence and doing a good thing for the environment by keeping old wireless phones out of landfills.”

Equipment can also be donated to the HopeLine program year-round at any Verizon Wireless Communications Store across the country or through the mail by downloading a postage-paid label at www.verizonwireless.com/hopelinemailinglabel. For more information, please visit www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline.
