Three Local High Schools In The Parkersburg, West Virginia, Area Have A Shot At $10,000 In Verizon Wireless TXT2Win Contest

PARKERSBURG, WV — Three area high schools including Parkersburg Catholic, Parkersburg South and Marietta have a chance to win $10,000 from Verizon Wireless if local fans can cheer loudest … with their fingers.

Through the Verizon Wireless High School TXT2Win contest, students, parents and fans of these high schools simply need to send a text message to 66861 with the school’s corresponding special contest code:

  • PCHS: Parkersburg Catholic High School
  • PSHS: Parkersburg South High School
  • MHS: Marietta High School

Participants can also visit www.vzwrules.com/highschool to vote online and increase the school’s odds of winning.

Parkersburg Catholic, Parkersburg South and Marietta will be competing against 21 other high schools from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The school with the most votes by November 4 wins the $10,000 prize, but all participating schools will receive a $1,000 donation at an upcoming sporting event. Verizon Wireless is giving away a total of three $10,000 cash prizes to high schools throughout the Midwest.
