Verizon Wireless, together with the American Diabetes Association will continue their efforts to prevent, cure and improve the lives of people affected with diabetes through their “Cooking for the Holidays” event, which will provide healthy eating tips and tools to Philadelphians in preparation for upcoming holiday meals. The evening will include a live cooking demonstration by Philadelphia culinary strategist and caterer Ms. Angie, an educational health discussion lead by former Pennsylvania Health Commissioner Gwendolyn Foster, opportunity to win an HTC Droid Incredible Smartphone and Plantronics Bluetooth® Headset from Verizon Wireless and more.
The event is part of a greater partnership between the American Diabetes Association and Verizon Wireless, who have teamed up to help Stop Diabetes®, raise awareness about the disease and encourage, inspire and empower people to live a healthier life.
