LAS VEGAS, NV and BASKING RIDGE, NJ — From the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Librestream today announced that its Onsight mobile video collaboration system now takes advantage of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network.

Librestream’s Onsight mobile collaboration system provides commercial and government enterprises with the ability to leverage subject matter experts and speed decision making through live video collaboration from the field. With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, field workers can stream high-resolution video, speak and draw onscreen with remote experts for immediate decision making. The combination of Onsight and the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network extend the power of mobile video collaboration to field locations that were previously difficult to reach. Onsight customers now have the ability to expand the use and impact of Onsight into new and even more powerful use cases.

“We have been working closely with Verizon Wireless to test and optimize our Onsight solution on the 4G LTE network. This combined solution provides our customers with a high- quality video collaboration experience to remotely inspect equipment, diagnose and repair problems, and, most importantly, improve business performance and velocity through location-independent collaboration,” said Kerry Thacher, chief executive officer of Librestream.

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network, launched in December 2010, is the fastest, most advanced 4G network in the United States, providing speeds up to 10 times faster than Verizon Wireless’ 3G network. Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network currently reaches one-third of all Americans, with plans to expand the network to the company’s entire 3G coverage area over the next three years.

This Onsight solution is a result of collaboration fostered at Verizon Wireless’ LTE Innovation Center. The LTE Innovation Center, established in 2008, provides an environment for diverse companies to work together to develop innovative products that leverage 4G LTE technology. Onsight will be highlighted from Jan. 6-9 in Verizon Wireless’ booth at CES (#35216 in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center).
