Verizon Wireless Adds Four New Cell Sites In Hamilton County, Indiana

NOBLESVILLE, IN — Verizon Wireless has activated four new cell sites in Hamilton County that improve voice and data coverage in portions of Fishers and Noblesville, including at the Verizon Wireless Music Center.

Coverage is improved for travelers along the following major roads in Noblesville:

  • State Road 32 between Gray Road and State Road 38;
  • State Road 38 between State Road 32 and East 63rd Road;
  • 161st Street between Gray Road and Cherry Tree Road;
  • Greenfield Avenue between Union Chapel Road and Brooks School Road;
  • State Road 38 between State Road 32 and Boden Road;
  • and Boden Road between State Road 38 and 146th Street.

Coverage is also improved for travelers along the following major roads in Fishers:

  • 116th Street between Cumberland Road and Brooks School Road;
  • Hoosier Road between 126th Street and 106th Street;
  • Cumberland Road between Interstate 69 and 146th Street;
  • and 131st Street between Allisonville Road and Howe Road.

The new cell sites, which are each equipped with a permanent backup generator for times of emergency, enable more Verizon Wireless customers to rely on their wireless devices for social networking, Internet browsing, downloading apps and music, exchanging e-mail and text, picture and video messages, watching high-quality videos and making calls.

The company’s ongoing network investment in Indiana now totals more than $1.1 billion. Nationally, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $60 billion since it was formed – $5.7 billion on average every year – to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services.
