LINCOLN, NE — Verizon Wireless has named Kristen Wright director of customer service for its Customer Service Center in Lincoln, Neb. She assumed the position, previously held by Bonnie Edwards, who moved to South Carolina for another position within Verizon Wireless.

In her new role, Wright will direct and manage the overall activities of the Lincoln Customer Service Center. The center primarily provides customer support for inbound customer calls with questions on billing, price-plan changes, voice and data products and technical support for equipment. Wright will report to Joan Bowyer, vice president – Midwest Area Customer Service.

“Kristen’s vast experience with customer service, along with her proven leadership expertise will be valuable to the continued success of the Lincoln Customer Service Center,” Bowyer said. “I am confident that she will be instrumental in building strong customer relationships.”

Wright began her career with Verizon Wireless in 1995. She held numerous supervisory positions in customer service, loyalty and training and most recently held the position of associate director over quality/executive relations for the 15-state Midwest Area.

Originally from St. Louis, Mo., she studied education at St. Louis Community College and public relations and marketing at Patricia Steven’s Career College. Wright, her husband and two children will be relocating to Nebraska later this year.

The Lincoln call center is one of seven in the 15-state Midwest Area. Other call centers currently supporting the Midwest Area are located in Cranberry Woods, Pa.; Dublin, Ohio; Elgin, Ill.; Mankato, Minn.; Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and Southfield, Mich.
