Verizon Wireless推出4G LTE智慧手機、平板電腦、MiFi、Hotspot和筆記型電腦全套產品

拉斯維加斯及新澤西BASKING RIDGE — 全美速度最快、最先進之4G網路的營運商推出以消費者為導向的全套十種產品，將於今年中加入該公司的4G LTE網路。

Verizon Wireless本日在2011年消費者電子展（CES）上宣布即將推出的全套十種4G LTE產品，包括HTC、LG、摩托羅拉及三星生產的智慧手機、摩托羅拉及三星生產的平板電腦、Novatel Wireless的MiFi和三星的mobile hotspot、以及惠普生產的兩種筆記型電腦。這些產品將昇華消費者的無線體驗，讓他們以閃電般的高速連接網路，和親友分享生活樂趣。Verizon預計上述以消費者為導向的產品將於2011年中上市，部分甚至將在2011年三月推出。

Verizon Wireless同時推出最新應用程式，與新型智慧手機充分整合，以便在4G LTE網路上天衣無縫的運行。經過更新的Skype mobile版本利用4G LTE以無比高速提供的視訊能力，讓使用者與親友撥打Skype對Skype的視訊電話時既能看到彼此又能輕鬆對話。EA的ROCK BAND更藉由平衡4G LTE網路的高速度和低延緩率為消費者提供新一代的多人遊戲。一旦推出，就是有史以來第一次可以在行動網路上和朋友共玩遊戲，這表示消費者可以破天荒的隨時隨地和朋友共享20首最受歡迎的熱門歌曲。

自從Verizon Wireless在32天以前推出4G LTE網路以來，膝上型電腦使用者因此能夠以較該公司3G網路快十倍的速度上網。在網路滿載的現實世界中的平均數據下行鏈路速率可達到每秒5到12百萬比次（Mbps），上行鏈路的速率可達到每秒2到5百萬比次。

Verizon的執行副總裁兼首席科技長Tony Melone表示，「我們將在今後36個月中繼續積極擴充4G LTE市場。我們將在今後18個月中覆蓋全美人口的三分之二，並於2013年將4G LTE的覆蓋面擴充到全美，就跟目前的3G一樣。為了達到這個目標，我們將在2011年新增140餘個市場，包括底特律、洛麗-杜蘭、曼菲斯、米爾瓦基、夏威夷、波夕、Mobile、小岩城、蘇族瀑布市及鹽湖城。」
