Verizon Wireless Announces The Return Of Its Sixth Annual Youth Soccer Clinics And Verizon Copa Alianza

WHAT:
Verizon Wireless will team with some of Latin America’s greatest soccer icons to announce details of its sixth annual free youth soccer clinics. Among the players expected to participate include fútbol legends Ramon Ramirez, Luis “El Matador” Hernandez, Carlos “El Pibe” Valderrama and Jorge “El Brody” Campos. This year the clinics will take place in 18 cities across the United States from April through October and are expected to attract over 5,900 youth.
Information on Verizon Copa Alianza, returning for its fifth year as the country’s top adult amateur soccer tournament, will also be unveiled. Details on the Alianza de Fútbol open tryout events will also be provided. Since 2008, 170 players have received professional tryout invitations, with 20 signing professional team contracts in Mexico and seven being called up to youth national teams in Mexico, the United States and Honduras.
