MANHATTAN, KS — Wildcat fans who want to share their experiences on their wireless devices will benefit from Verizon’s increased coverage. The company will deploy a temporary cell site – or COW – to the Bill Snyder Family Stadium throughout the 2011-12 football season.

A COW, or “cell on wheels,” is a fully functional, mobile cell site that enhances wireless capacity in a given area, thereby enabling thousands of extra customers in the area to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive emails and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

History has proved wireless connectivity is in high demand during the K-State football season. If any customers are asking “Can you hear me now?” it is surely due to the K-State Marching Band blasting the Wabash Cannonball because Verizon Wireless has them covered.
