HUTCHINSON, KS — Kansas State fairgoers wanting to share their experiences as they enjoy concerts, livestock shows, ferris wheel rides and more will benefit from Verizon’s increased coverage. Verizon Wireless will deploy a temporary cell site – or COW – to Hutchinson, Kan., now through Sept. 22.
A COW, or “cell on wheels,” is a fully functional, mobile cell site that enhances wireless capacity in a given area, thereby enabling thousands of extra customers in the area to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive emails and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.
History has proved wireless connectivity is in high demand during the Kansas State Fair. If any customers are asking “Can you hear me now?” it is surely due the buzz of excitement in the air at the Fair because Verizon Wireless has them covered.
