WINFIELD, KS — Concertgoers at the Walnut Valley Festival who want to take photos or capture video of their favorite bluegrass performers will benefit from Verizon’s increased coverage. Verizon Wireless will deploy a temporary cell site – or COW – to Winfield, Kan., now through Sept. 19.

A COW, or “cell on wheels,” is a fully functional, mobile cell site that enhances wireless capacity in a given area, thereby enabling thousands of extra customers in the area to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive emails and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

History has proved wireless connectivity is in high demand during the Walnut Valley Festival. If any customers are asking “Can you hear me now?” it is surely due to the sweet sounds of bluegrass because Verizon Wireless has them covered.
