COLLINSVILLE — Collinsville High School has a chance to win $50,000 from Verizon Wireless if local fans can cheer loudest … with their fingers.

Through the Verizon Wireless High School TXT2Win contest, students, parents and fans of Collinsville High School simply need to send a text message to 66861 with the school’s special contest code COLLIN or visit www.vzwrules.com/highschool to vote online and increase the school’s odds of winning.

Collinsville High School will be competing against 72 other high schools from Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Wisconsin and West Virginia. The school with the most votes by November 4 wins the $50,000 prize, but all participating schools will receive a $1,000 donation at an upcoming sporting event.
