RENO, NV — Calling, downloading apps and surfing the web on the Verizon Wireless 3G network is now easier and faster for residents and travelers in Sacramento thanks to a new cell site, Topaz Lake, California. The site expands 3G wireless coverage and capacity along Highway 396 and Highway 208.

The company’s ongoing network investment in Nevada now totals more than $590 million, including $76 million in 2010. Nationally, the company has invested more than $65 billion over that same period to increase the coverage and capacity of its network, and to add new services.

The network upgrade is part of the company’s ongoing investment to keep improving and strengthening the nation’s largest and most reliable 3G wireless network.
