NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH — A new smartphone can do a lot, and it may often mean new questions: How do I make sure my battery doesn’t run out during the day? Can I create a text message by speaking into my phone? What’s an “app”? With more than 30 million smartphone customers on its network, Verizon Wireless is making sure smartphone customers – new and experienced – don’t have to look far for answers to any and all questions with free Wireless Workshops, available at participating Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online.

The Verizon Wireless Communications Stores located at the following addresses are hosting ongoing Wireless Workshops, including several Android Basic, Apple iPad2 and Apple iPhone 4S workshops over the next week, to help customers get answers to their questions and become more savvy about new technology:

  • Sunday, Nov. 6: Apple iPad2. 543 West High Ave., New Philadelphia, Ohio. 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 6: Apple iPad2. 507 Mill Ave. SE., New Philadelphia, Ohio. 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 11: Apple iPhone 4S. 543 West High Ave., New Philadelphia, Ohio. 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 11: Apple iPhone 4S. 507 Mill Ave. SE., New Philadelphia, Ohio. 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 16: Android Basic. 543 West High Ave., New Philadelphia, Ohio. 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.

Verizon Wireless Workshops offer a comprehensive look at what smartphones and other “smart” devices, such as tablets, can do. The in-store workshops are led by specially trained data experts and sales representatives and run between one and two hours in length.
