ITHACA, NY — Verizon Wireless is moving its Ithaca retail store to a new, larger location. The new 3,710-square-foot store, located at 720 S. Meadow Street, will employ 15 people and will feature the company’s new open floor plan design, which connects the service center and sales floor to offer added support for its customers.

The new store will be open Monday through Saturday, 9 am – 9:00 pm, and Sunday from 10 am – 7 pm. The telephone number is (607) 216-0075.

"The new store design focuses on giving our customers a hands-on experience with our products and services," said Tom Seymour, Verizon Wireless district manager. “Making it easy for customers to learn about and choose wireless capabilities is one more way we’re working to ensure Verizon Wireless continues to lead the industry in customer loyalty.”

About the store
The new Ithaca store features the company’s new open floor plan concept that removes the walls between the service area and sales floor, making the entire store one department designed to streamline the sales process and enhance the customer experience. The store showcases a highly interactive retail concept, and offers consumers a more high tech, hands-on experience, providing them with the latest and most innovative products and services. Among the new store’s features are:

  • Oversized high-definition plasma screens showcasing the latest wireless multimedia applications.
  • More than 50 working models of smartphones, tablets, wireless modems, mobile hotspots, and other devices for customers to handle and test, including Home Phone Connect – a wireless replacement for your home landline.
  • A Greeter Kiosk that enables customers to check in electronically before browsing the store and provides the sales representative with the customer’s account background and reason for visiting the store.
  • A My Verizon Express learning station that demonstrates how customers can manage their account online anytime, anywhere.

The new store will also host free wireless workshops – led by Verizon Wireless’ own specially trained data and device experts – to help customers learn all about their new devices. Workshops are also available online. Visit www.verizonwireless.com/workshops to sign up or for more information.
