SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Calling, downloading apps and surfing the Web on the Verizon Wireless network is now easier and faster for residents and travelers in Utah thanks to three new cell sites added in the first quarter of this year, including:

  • West Jordan – improved coverage in the area of 7800 South and 5600 West, including surrounding neighborhoods
  • West Valley City – improved coverage in the area of 4700 South and 4800 West, including surrounding neighborhoods
  • Hurricane – in southwestern Utah, improved coverage in the Black Ridge area along I-15 and town of New Harmony

Since being founded in 2000, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $473 million in its Utah network. Nationally, the company has invested more than $70 billion over that same period to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide networks and to add new services.

The network upgrades in Utah are part of the company’s ongoing investment to keep improving and strengthening the nation’s largest and most reliable wireless network.
