It sounds like something out of a movie script: three teenage friends from the inner city make a pact to improve their lives, to succeed.

But, these teens don’t want to be star athletes or entertainers. They want to go to college. They plan to be doctors.

Now, years later, those teens have achieved their dream. Sampson Davis, George Jenkins and Rameck Hunt are all doctors. They have written several books on their journey and are now giving back to their community through The Three Doctors Foundation.

Their inspirational story is one of many being shared as part of Verizon’s “Celebrating Your Story: Powering Your Network,” a program launched as part of Black History Month.

The multimedia initiative includes a series of candid video vignettes where The Three Doctors and several others including gospel singer Marvin Sapp, professional stock car driver Tia Norfleet and actor Laz Alonzo share their stories.

All of the videos can be seen at www.verizonwireless.com/celebratingyourstory.
