Verizon Wireless Brings Its 4G LTE Network To Fredericksburg, Virginia And Surrounding Areas On May 17

LAUREL, MD — Verizon Wireless will bring its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to 28 new markets, including Fredericksburg, Virginia, starting Thursday, May 17, enabling customers to take advantage of the nation’s largest 4G LTE network. With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, customers can enjoy the best experience in wireless data usage when they stream video, share music and photos, download files and surf the Web with speeds up to 10 times faster than before.

In addition to providing 4G LTE coverage in Fredericksburg, the Verizon Wireless super-fast mobile broadband network will also be available to customers throughout the majority of Stafford County and in the northern part of Spotsylvania County, extending the company’s current footprint from Prince William County, Virginia south to additional communities located near Interstate 95, including Aquia Harbour, Quantico Station, Dumfries, Dodds Corner, White Oak, Eagle Village and Paynes Corner.

In addition to introducing its 4G LTE network in 28 new markets, including Fredericksburg, Virginia and surrounding communities, Verizon Wireless is expanding the network in 11 markets across the United States on May 17. In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
