WALNUT CREEK, CA — Verizon Wireless, owner of the nation’s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) Network brings its 4G LTE network to 46 new markets, including the Yuba City and Marysville area today, enabling more customers in more of the United States to take advantage of 4G LTE speeds in their own towns. With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, customers can enjoy the best experience in wireless data usage when they stream video, share music and photos, download files and surf the Web with speeds up to 10 times faster than before.

The company’s 4G LTE network is available to customers in the following cities and towns:

  • Yuba City including North Yuba and Downtown Yuba City
  • Marysville including the downtown area
  • Linda and West Linda

In addition to introducing its 4G LTE network in 46 new markets, including Yuba City and Marysville, Verizon Wireless has expanded the network in 22 markets already served by the company’s 4G LTE network. With the new and expanded markets, the company’s 4G LTE network will be available in 304 markets, to more than two-thirds of the U.S. population.

“The introduction of our 4G LTE network to Yuba City and Marysville demonstrates our commitment to continuously expand the network and provide our customers with the highest quality communications standards,” said Russ Preite, region president for Verizon Wireless. “Our 4G LTE network allows our customers to download music or upload photos faster than ever before, broadening their communications possibilities with family, friends and colleagues.”

4G LTE Devices, Solutions and Plans

Verizon Wireless customers can choose from the largest selection of 4G LTE devices, ranging from tablets and mobile hotspots to the latest smartphones and more, including the Samsung Galaxy S® III, currently available online for pre-order, and the soon-to-be available DROID INCREDIBLE 4G LTE by HTC. Details on available devices can be found at www.verizonwireless.com/4GLTE and information on plans and pricing is available at www.verizonwireless.com/plans.

Verizon Wireless also offers a variety of smart accessories, including the FitBit Ultra Wireless Activity Tracker and the Withings WiFi Scale, for customers to use with their 4G LTE devices. A full list of smart accessories can be found at www.verizonwireless.com/smartaccessories.

Additionally, customers can take advantage of recently introduced HomeFusion Broadband, a solution that leverages the power and speed of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network to deliver high-speed, in-home Internet access for residential broadband, particularly in areas where Internet options are limited or are not currently available.

4G LTE Coverage and Speed

In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.

When customers travel outside of a 4G LTE coverage area, 4G LTE devices automatically connect to Verizon Wireless’ 3G network, enabling customers to stay connected from coast to coast. Verizon Wireless’ 3G network is the most reliable high-speed data network in the country and allows customers in 3G coverage areas who purchase 4G LTE devices today to take advantage of 4G LTE speeds when the faster network becomes available in their area, or when they travel to areas already covered by 4G LTE.
