UPDATE - Thursday, November 15: Today, Verizon Wireless expanded its 4G LTE network by introducing coverage in 22 new markets and expanding in 40 more. Verizon Wireless 4G LTE is now available in 441 markets across the United States.

Since its launch, 4G LTE has become the fastest growing mobile network technology in the United States. New technologies that take advantage of the advanced network have transformed users’ lives.

The growth of 4G LTE is changing the ways businesses communicate, enabling companies to wirelessly connect more and more. Connectivity results in solutions that deliver value for customers, like LTE-connected cars that will provide diagnostics and entertainment, and a wide range of healthcare solutions, one of which allows doctors to communicate with and monitor patients remotely. Robots are getting into the act with products like the VGo Robotic Telepresence which helps sick children attend school remotely and have the same experience as being in the classroom.

In many cases, smartphones have replaced traditional computers for consumers. The breadth of 4G LTE networks means people can now video chat or play multi-player games in real time while at the beach instead of at their desk or home office. Connecting multiple devices with a mobile hotspot means students can access all of their coursework and research materials wherever they are, or catch up on their favorite TV shows. Devices like the DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola and Windows Phone 8X, offer fast data speeds and low latency for an overall better experience.

With increased availability, businesses and consumers can take advantage of 4G LTE across the country. As of Thursday, the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network will be available in more than 440 markets throughout the country.
