Losing a smartphone can be devastating given the sheer amount of data - pictures, videos, music and contacts stored on devices these days. In fact, you may find yourself more concerned about the lost data than the lost phone. Verizon Cloud offers secure cloud storage to wirelessly back up and sync the content on your mobile device so it’s still easily accessible if you lose or change devices.

Here’s a quick step-by-step guide on how to set it up:

Download the Verizon Cloud app for your mobile device. (The app may already be installed on some Android devices.) To download the Verizon Cloud app to your computer, go to www.verizon.com/solutions-and-services/verizon-cloud and click on Manage My Content.

Once downloaded, it’s time for the set up. Follow the on-screen prompts to sync your logs, contacts, music, multimedia and other files.

To access your information afterwards, open the Verizon Cloud app from your mobile device or desktop. You can then select the content type (e.g., music, pictures, videos, documents) to download. Once you’ve located the file you want, tap and hold the file name to select it.

Once data is backed up, it is accessible from any compatible smartphone, tablet, desktop, or laptop. With this new feature, the idea of replacing or upgrading your phone will be less daunting.
