It doesn’t matter if you are traveling in a plane, train or automobile this Thanksgiving; wireless tablets offer a bountiful mobile feast of holiday movies to watch while you’re on the move. Here are samplings of just a few.

The kids in the backseat will love “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” in which the Peanuts gang celebrates Thanksgiving at Charlie’s picnic table. When they play football in the yard, should Charlie trust Lucy when he wants to kick off?

Many real-life families will see some similarities to Jodie Foster’s on-screen relatives in “Home for the Holidays.” Holly Hunter, Anne Bancroft and Robert Downey, Jr. play some of the wacky clan getting together for the Thanksgiving foibles.

Much more farce than feast is “Thanksgiving Family Reunion” from National Lampoon in which, according to IMDB, “neurotic suburbanites clash with the hippy hicks from hell” during the holiday dinner.  Does that sound like a savory story to you?  Critics didn’t think so.

To head way back in time, “An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving” is set in the 1800s. Starring Jacqueline Bisset, this movie is the story of a Thanksgiving visit that threatens family upheaval, but ends with reconciliation.

While they may be classics, all of these movies have a modern, mobile twist when watched on a tablet, from the Verizon Ellipsis 7 to top Android tablets and the new Nokia Lumia 2520. Pair them with a high-speed 4G LTE network and services such as Hulu Plus and Netflix and you have almost a gluttony of high-tech treats.

In “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” Steve Martin and John Candy experience truly funny travails as they try to make the trip home for the holiday. Perhaps if they had a wireless tablet or smartphone in this Thanksgiving movie favorite, they would have arrived sooner without needing to snuggle in that undersized motel bed.
