“Love Is Respect” Hackathon: Oakland, Calif.

Our series continues with a second stop in California.

This summer, Verizon HopeLine teamed up with Break The Cycle and Black Girls Code to host a series of hackathons, entitled “Love Is Respect,” where young female contestants developed mobile apps and websites aimed at educating youth on cultivating healthy relationships. The second stop on the tour convened at the Impact Hub Oakland in Oakland, Calif.
