For the 2014 Latin GRAMMY® Awards, Verizon Wireless is engaging music fans across the country with the power of mobile technology to help them stay connected to one of the largest awards shows in the United States honoring music in Spanish.

Verizon will lead the awards show festivities with the creation of an original 48-hour music soundtrack with contribution by Latin singer-songwriter Prince Royce. The “Turbo Soundtrack” is being produced in homage to the recently-introduced DROID Turbo which has up to 48 hours of battery life.

"I’m all about connecting with my fans so when Verizon came up with this cool new way to do so, I was all for it. I’m hoping they will enjoy it,” said Prince Royce.

Starting on Wednesday, November 19, music fans everywhere will be encouraged to use the hashtags #LatinGRAMMY or #DroidTurbo for an opportunity to be included in the epic music soundtrack.

Verizon will monitor and engage with social media conversations during the Latin GRAMMYs and use responses to selected fan tweets in real-time as lyrics for the soundtrack. Every eight hours during the song, there will be a 15-minute TURBO REMIX to signify the Turbo’s charging feature of eight hours of power from a 15-minute charge.

In addition, Verizon is partnering with Univision, the network broadcasting the awards show, and Latin actress/singer/songwriter Eiza Gonzalez to bring fans an exclusive insider look at the Latin GRAMMYs. Gonzalez will be featuring the use of the DROID Turbo to keep her fully charged as she engages with fans and posts exclusive behind-the-scenes content live from the awards show green carpet.

The 15th Annual Latin GRAMMY awards will be held on Thursday, November 20, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Don’t forget to join the Latin GRAMMY conversation to be part of the Turbo Soundtrack and follow Eiza @eizamusica and @VerizonLatino for access to exclusive backstage content.
